I believe that people should support passiv haus by having their house design in an energy efficient manner. It is a good thing that in New Zealand, there is a Home Energy Rating Scheme that assists New Zealanders in making informed decisions for achieving energy efficient home designs. Keep it up!

Hello Lawrence
I am awake to the principals that you are promoting! Many architects like myself have been implementing these principals since our training at architecture school and from our travels to places like Europe and Northern America.
It is great that there is now so much media attention on energy efficiency and greener technologies (to a lesser degree) out there to educate the general public. Hopefully housing companies and builders will continue to improve their product due to public awareness and demand. Unfortunately architects only account for a small proportion of the housing market so I believe the issue is more with the mass producers and the speculative builders.
Keep up the good work on what you are doing but please don’t bag architects in general as there is a great deal of good work by architects out there that hasn’t been in the public limelight, perhaps this is where architects have been guilty doing the walk but not the talk?
