Golden Bay Hideaway

House Truck is a lovingly restored and beautifully presented old house truck with fantastic sea and mountain views in a private bush location. This fully equipped wagon is a cosy sanctuary to restore your pioneer spirit.

A wood fire keeps the beautifully crafted kauri and oak timber interior warm on cooler days. This is the ideal place for a couple to get away from the hustle of daily life. Even in stormy nights staying in this house truck is a comfortable experience.

There is plenty of room for parking or an extra tent and the generous surroundings are all yours.

Forth time back at the house truck and still just as good. It’s in its own little slice of paradise. Very private and peaceful. The house truck has everything you need and the best outdoor bath. Thanks for another great stay!!

We had a lovely time. Although it's a house truck, it has all the amenities, and the outdoors shower and bath are divine. It was also warm, and that was without lighting the fire.

What a find!! An absolute slice of heaven. Tucked away in a private little piece of native bush, overlooking the beautiful Tasman, yet just a 20 minute walk to the bay. The Truck is a fantastic restoration and with the outdoor bath provides all we needed for a family of 4 (2 little ones shared beds with us). Lovely and responsive owners. Can’t wait to come again and stay longer next time!!

Amazing location and beautifully decorated house truck. The lighting and ambience made for a relaxing getaway. Was too bad the weather wasn’t the best during our stay as would have liked to have made the most of the stunning surroundings. Hope to stay again in future.

We utterly enjoyed staying in the house truck. It was unique, very private, and the surroundings offered so much interest from regularly visiting native weka families to amazing landscapes. The outdoor bath tub was a huge hit and we also liked how environmentally conscious it all was with the composting toilet to the green waste collection and solar powered lighting. Thank you!

If you can get a room here then do. Me and my wife stayed 3 nights here while on our honeymoon the location is private and the view is amazing. Would recomend this spot for anyone who loves nature and animals as we were frequently visted by a lovely family of weka and found glow worms near the property. This is absolutley the perfect spot for a holiday
