What an unique find! The house truck is quirky, comfy and warm even in the Winter. We loved waking up to the view of the coast and had a lovely time visiting the springs, the falls and a walk to the beach to see the sunset. The outside bath / shower was an added magical touch. Even though we were apprehensive of venturing out to the cold to begin with, the water was lovely and warm, the view of the coast in the morning and the stars in the evening was amazing and we even had a few feathered friends outside to keep us company! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at Lawrence and Kylie’s House Truck. It has its own secluded area with a stunning panoramic view of the Wainui river inlet. The truck is so comfy and cosy. It was so lovely that the heater was left on for our evening arrival. The next night we lit the little stove which was magic. We loved every feature specially cooking in the little kitchen and sunset outdoor baths. The eco friendly features were a big plus for us too, specially the clever security light system that shows you the way to the loo after dark. Absolutely fantastic we can’t wait to come back. Thanks heaps.
Amazing house truck, really cool experience for kids our daughter loved the place. The view is outstanding and sunsets are divine. The place and beach is magical and definitely a good spot for immersing into nature. The truck is beautifully kept. And has all we needed.
We had an awesome time in the Amazing House Truck! It was quirky and wonderful and in a beautiful location! Very comfy and cozy and perfect for our Abel Tasman adventure.
We had a lovely time in the house truck. Private and peaceful and an outdoor bath in horrid weather was perfect!
Great location although I recommend driving to it in daylight. Kids loved the bath and beds, I would have appreciated a few extra blankets to sit outside.
This was a very unique place! Location was amazing
One of the best Airbnb's in New Zealand. Amazing scenery and amazing facilities.
The fireplace and outside bath are a winner winner chicken dinner. The view was private and peaceful. The playhouse type bedding is gorgeous and the truck is warm and inviting. The owners are great at accommodating to your needs efficiently and the cleanliness of the place was bang on!! :)
Favorite spot on the planet. I’ll be back!
Perfection. Words can’t rate this highly enough.
The housetruck exceeded our every expectation. Its just wonderful. A must if you're ever close by.
We came to stay at the House Truck as a 40th birthday treat for my husband - a sneaky weekend away from the kids - and it was absolutely perfect. Totally secluded, with views to die for, but close enough to civilisation that we were able to pick up a takeaway pizza and bring it back to eat while it was still hot... would absolutely recommend it. The outside bath was amazing too! We are desperate to go back already.
Le truck house est très rustique, mais si chaleureux avec une vue magnifique sur Wainui Bay. C'est un très bel endroit pour se couper de sa routine et se rapprocher de la nature.
We loved the house truck! The location is beautiful and close to amazing walking tracks. The space has everything you need plus a tub. Thank you!
Amazing place to stay in the hills of Wainui Bay, tucked away up the hill in a private setting with a beautiful outside bath/shower surrounded by beautiful nature. Gorgeous housetruck beautifully crafted by Lawrence. A BnB stay which you wont forget. Loved it .Wish we could have stayed longer!
Thank you Lawrence and Kylie for letting us stay in your lovely, unique and cool house truck. My son loved the outdoor bath, had an awesome and relaxing stay. We will definitely come back for another adventure. ❤
Wir waren nicht die richtigen Gäste für diese Unterkunft
Votre endroit est vraiment spécial et unique, on est contents d’être allés. Tranquillité extraordinaire!!!!
Most beautiful place. We loved the open air bath. The truck has everything you will need.
A cosy stay for the four of us. Great fun, superb location and so chilled.
We really loved our stay in this wonderful place with this beautiful view. I celebrated my 40th birthday there in family and it was perfect. We loved the cosy house truck and the little things that we can find inside. The girls loved the Lego bag and the bath outside. We feel the nature everywhere and it was so nice to meet wekas. Thank you so much. Wonderfull memories in our world trip. It was very hard to leave this place and we wish we can come back soon.
This was an amazing Airbnb! The space was exactly and described and better. The outdoor bath was a big highlight and prompt responses from the hosts with messages. Highly recommend!
As unique as it gets, completely fitting for Golden Bay's granola scene ... had a nice time.

We loved the house truck! It was a bit of an adjustment at first - Dad a bit skeptical of the composting toilet and ladders to the bed - but once we sat down and enjoyed the view it took all the struggles away. My husband and I loved the outdoor shower! The area is stunning and it’s such an experience. We would definitely stay again.
Beautiful location and the truckhouse was oozing with character. We came straight from the Picton ferry which was already an hour late, additionally we were not aware of how challenging and windy the roads were so I would suggest not to do this drive at night. The beds were very comfortable. Wainui Bay was beautiful and safe for children and it was a scenic drive to Farewell Spit where we could walk along the beach and view the migratory birds. Make sure you come prepared with food as it is a long windy drive back to the supermarket.
The house truck was such a treat. A quiet oasis in a busy world.
My family of four had a wonderful two night stay at the house truck. It truly does provide a unique visit. We had the good fortune of great weather, providing sun for eating and playing outdoors alongside cool evenings ideal for sleeping. Similarly, the views and the access the Abel Tasman hikes could not be more ideal. While I suspect the house truck might be tight space for a family on a rainy day, we were fortunate to not have that challenge. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a change of space and willing to climb a small ladder into bed!
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Very well kitted out. All the wee touches made it so special.
La baignoire sous les étoiles c’est top Attention un peu éloigné de tout, en fait idéal pour se mettre au vert Le camion est original et c’est une expérience Compter presque 1h30 pour rejoindre le parc Abel Tasman Un bon moment
Fantastic location, made excellent use of the bbq for alfresco dining, views to die for, outside bath and shower wonderful in great weather and in complete privacy. A big thank you to Lawrence who was quick off the mark in sorting out a water issue before we even knew we had one and for the tips on local walks.
